Vatrano businesses get in on the action with Recre-ACTION event

Last week, 230 Residential Life Assistants from University at Albany visited Vatrano Industrial Park for a brand new Central Avenue BID event, Recre-ACTION.

During the event, SUNY RAs got the opportunity to try out fitness adventures at A.I.R., Albany’s Indoor Rockgym, Good Karma Studio, Schott’s Boxing, and Pil Sung Martial Arts Studio. Students had a fantastic time hanging, climbing, swinging, throwing punches, kicks, and trying their luck at other feats of strength.

“All of our students and the professional staff had a great time, and would love to do it again,” said Ema Buco, Residence Director and head of the RA Program for the University at Albany. “Expect business,” she added.

Students also enjoyed bagels and lemonade provided by Bruegger’s Bagels.

Business owners were also thrilled at the opportunity to introduce these students to their businesses. The Central BID sent the students back to campus with plenty of information and coupons! We hope the students will return, and also take the opportunity to spread the word about these great businesses to the students on their floors.
