Central Avenue hits Nanotech--AGAIN!

CBID's Anthony Capece and Molly Belmont tabling at last year's SmAlbany, a showcase of small businesses.
It's a SmAlbany world after all! This marks the second year that the Central Avenue Business Improvement District will be attending and exhibiting at SmAlbany, a showcase of small businesses at University at Albany's College of College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.

The event offers the CBID an opportunity to promote Central Avenue as a destination for entrepreneurs and start-ups, and also gives us a chance to highlight the number of small businesses we already have.

"Central Avenue is a great place to be a small business," says Anthony Capece, Executive Director for the Central Avenue Business Improvement District. "We are the busiest commercial corridor in the Capital Region. We have proximity to the Capitol, and Downtown, and we're here as well, offering support and assistance to busy small business owners."

The Central Avenue BID provides access to financial resources, marketing assistance, training, all with the goal of getting our businesses out in front of new customers.

We're also going to SmAlbany hoping to hook Nanotech employees (and anyone else we meet) on our great restaurants! With over 74 restaurants from 19 different countries, Central Avenue is your destination for authentic international cuisine.

We'll also be bringing goody bags full of coupons, flyers, and gifts from a number of participating businesses, including Mirror Images Spa & Salon, Honest Weight, Great Finds Thrift Boutique, Plato's Closet, Phillips Hardware, Best Fitness, NABA, Bruegger's Bagels, Blessed Sacrament School, Mildred Elley School, Pil Sung Martial Arts, Elena's Italian Caffe, and Equinox.

SmAlbany 2013 takes place Wednesday, July 17, from 7am-5pm at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering, 255 Fuller Rd., Albany, NY 12203. For more information, visit their website at http://smalbany.org/
