CDTA restructuring continues for hinterlands

CDTA ADDS EXTRA PUBLIC MEETING IN ALBANY TO GATHER INPUT

FOR PHASE TWO OF ALBANY SERVICE RESTRUCTURE

(Albany, NY) – The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) announced today that it will add an additional public meeting in Albany to gather public input and share information about Phase Two of the proposed Albany Route Restructuring plan. Three public meetings have already been held in Albany County over the last two weeks.

CDTA is restructuring its Albany route network to better align services where people live, work and shop. Phase One of the plan was implemented in November 2011 and led to double digit ridership increases over its first two months of operation. Phase Two of the plan will focus service provided in the surrounding areas and is scheduled for implementation later this year.

The Albany County Route Restructuring phase two continued public meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, February 21 , 6:00-7:30 pm

Guilderland Public Library

  • Thursday, February 23, 6:00-7:30pm

Cohoes Senior Center,

10 Cayuga Plaza

Discussion to focus on Routes #29, 82, 432

  • Tuesday, February 28th from 5:00-6:30pm
