SCORE Symposia schedule announced
The Northeast NY Chapter of SCORE, based in Albany, is sponsoring a series of small business symposiums in 2014. Each symposium will have a local professional as presenter and a SCORE mentor facilitating.
Each symposium will highlight an important topic for small businesses.Individuals interested in starting a business, existing businesses, as well as current and prospective SCORE clients are encouraged to attend.
Symposium #1: Patents, Copyrights, & Trademarks–Intellectual Property–It’s Yours -Protect It
Thursday January 23, in the Community Room at Berkshire Bank, at Mansion Square, in Niskayuna, from 7:30 to 8:30AM. The presenter, will be: Lee K. Palmateer, Esq., Intellectual Property Attorney. Symposium #2: Let’s Find More Customers, will be held at Berkshire Bank, 151 Vly Rd. in Colonie, on Wednesday February 12, from 8:30 to 9:30AM.
Symposium #3: Negotiating Leases & Purchases for Your Business, will be held at Berkshire Bank, at 979 Central Ave. in Albany, on Wednesday February 26, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00PM.
Symposium #4: Developing and Utilizing Marketing Tools, will be held at Berkshire Bank, 151 Vly Rd. in Colonie, on Wednesday March 12, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
Symposium #5: Building and Sustaining Strategic Partnerships, will be held at the Tec Smart HVCC Campus in Malta, I87 Exit 12, on Wednesday March 26, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00PM. More symposiums to follow.
SCORE is an organization of volunteer business executives and retirees that helps small businesses start, grow, and succeed. SCORE is a strategic partner with and supported by the Small Business Administration.
The Northeast NY Chapter serves eleven counties in the Capital District area. Mentoring services are free of charge. All fees charged for events are to cover event expenses.
