4th Annual Scarecrow Contest heralds fall--winners are despicable

Nothing says fall like scarecrows, and this year's annual Scarecrows on the Avenue Contest ushered in another festive autumn. Businesses and not-for-profits built scarecrows to get the word out about themselves, and installed these companionable fellows on the fences in Central Avenue's Shopping District. They decorated the fences in front of Hannaford from October 11 to 25 when the contest winners were announced.
