City of Albany hosts Bike Sharing Feasibility Study Meeting



The City of Albany Department of Development and Planning, CDTC, and consultants Alta Planning + Design are conducting a study on what bike route signage is needed in the City of Albany and how bike
sharing might be implemented here. Please join us on the evening of January 22nd to learn more about the study’s draft recommendations and to provide your input.

Parking - if you are not able to find an on-street parking space, public meeting attendees are permitted to park in Saint Rose lots Massry Lot 5 and CCIM Lot 7 without being ticketed. These lots are located off of Madison Ave, diagonally across the street from St Joseph Auditorium. Please do not park in any other lots.

• Overview of bicycle route sign standards
• Options for bicycle route sign designs
• Overview of other cities’ bike share systems
• Feasibility of bike share for Albany (including financing)
• Improvements that the City can make to build demand for bike share
• Potential bike share system size and service area
