Central Avenue's 1st Friday festivities take place this Friday, April 6, from 5-9pm. Our events include:
DJ Trumastr! Albany's favorite DJ, DJ Trumastr will hit up City Footwear at 15 Central Avenue from 5-8pm. We'll also have paintings at this singular shoe store by emerging artist Sarah Fuhrman, a SUNY Fine Arts student who tackles subjects in bright chroma expressionist style.

From there, grab a free trolley to take you to Central Avenue's Cultural District at Quail and Central and get your night off to a good start at:
Pauly's Hotel, 337 Central Avenue, we have the Happy Hour with the Uncle Bucks Blues Trio and refreshments with BUDLITE Platinum Party
A couple doors down, Salsa Latina at 315 Central is hosting a special preview of the upcoming Underground Railroad Conference, accompanied by light jazz with Kevin Jones.
And then, it's just a jump to the left, and a step to the right, and we're at the Linda, WAMC's Performing Arts Center, doing the Time Warp again, with the "Rocky Horror Picture Show," starting at 8pm. Tickets are $8.
And please join us for After 1st Friday events:
At 9pm at Ristorante Paradiso we have the Burlesque Paradiso 1920's Revue. You'll feel like you're stepping back to the Roaring 20s, an era of jazz and champagne. The Revue is a production of Jim Romano, of Bing Bamboo Room fame, and features Miss Roxxi Tart and her beauties, decked out in full flapper form. Ristorante Paradiso's gilded murals and hardwood floors are a perfect compliment to these lovely ladies, so brush up on your 1920's slang, polish your spats, and hit the town. Ristorante Paradiso is located at 198 Central Avenue. You must be 21 to enter.
Then, don't miss 7th Squeeze at Pauly's Hotel at 10pm. Cover is $10, and while you enjoy these Motown smoothies, you can grab food from Salsa Latina, Ichiban, or Chicken Joe's, all delivered to your table.
Don't miss Central Avenue's first foray into 1st Friday, this Friday, April 6, from 5-9pm.
DJ Trumastr will host an 80's Ladies afterparty at McGeary's at 10pm, rocking your favorite 80s classics, so wear your lace gloves and leg warmers and hit the floor like Molly Ringwald.
Next month: Albany Poets, local author Arlene Brathwaite reading from her new novel "In the Cut", new venues, more musicians and more artists!
