“Capital region relief” benefit concert



TOP LOCAL BANDS JOIN TOGETHER FOR “CAPITAL REGION RELIEF”,
A CONCERT TO BENEFIT LOCAL HURRICANE AND FLOOD VICTIMS,
TO BE HELD THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd AT PALACE THEATER
In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Irene and the recent storms, the City of Albany, the Palace Theater, it’s unionized workers, and numerous local organizations, media outlets and companies have joined forces with several top regional musical acts to present “Capital Region Relief”, a benefit concert event that will take place Thursday, September 22nd from 6-10pm at Albany’s Palace Theater.  This all-ages show will feature performances by 6 top-drawing, Capital region-based bands, including:

TEN YEAR VAMP, THE AUDIOSTARS, THE FIGHTING 86s, GARLAND NELSON & SOUL SESSION, THE CHRIS DUKES BAND, PLUS!  SPECIAL MUSICAL GUEST -- ALBANY BLUES LEGEND ERNIE WILLIAMS
This all-ages event will raise money to assist residents of all affected Capital Region communities, with proceeds directly benefiting the disaster relief fund of The American Red Cross of Northeastern New York.  Admission to the concert is just $10 per person at the door, and advance tickets may be purchased at the Palace Theater Box Office, via Palace Theater charge-by-phone at (518) 465-3334, or online at http://www.palacealbany.com

Best of all, the facility, the stagehands, the bands and every person and entity involved in producing this event is donating their services 100%.  Which means every penny that is raised will go, entirely, to the Red Cross fund for use in the immediate Capital District area.
