Flavors of India hosted a VIP Reception for friends and media, Friday, November 22 at 10:30am. The restaurant is located at 244 Washington Avenue, across from Albany's Townsend Park.
Friends and neighbors enjoyed a delicious buffet at the grand opening, feasting on palak paneer, vindaloo, naan, korma, pakoras and samosas.
Only this year, this block of Washington Avenue will welcome three new restaurants, including Umana, an African-inspired bistro and wine bar, and Terra International Cuisine, a pescetarian restaurant and cafe. These restaurants join longtime businesses like LaZeez, Aashiana, Gandhi, and Hot Spot, and Singh says there's already a collegial atmosphere among the restaurant owners.
Food bloggers are taking note, covering the restaurant's new look and feel, as well as the positive addition to the already diverse neighborhood.
