Who's coming to All Around Albany? This year's freshmen class--and you.
This
year, the Central Avenue Business Improvement District and the Ramada Plaza
Albany will host “All Around Albany,” an orientation event for University at
Albany's class of 2017. The CBID will introduce 1,000 incoming freshmen to all
Central Avenue has to offer. We'll have 21 businesses, including banks, grocery stores, recreation venues, and restaurants at the event, and it's not too late to add yours to the list!
Students will be picked up at the campus, take a tour of the district, and arrive at the Ramada Plaza Hotel for food, fun, and freebies. Just take a look at some of the activities we'll be offering:
- Caricatures by Rich Conley
- Henna tattoos by Aaquila
- Hair and spa treatments by Mildred Elley
- Video games and Foosball courtesy of Greco Brothers
- Balloon sculptures by Daryl Baldwin
- The Smile Monster
- Music DJ'ed by Washington Avenue Armory
- Tons of food provided courtesy of our restaurants and the Albany Ramada Plaza Hotel
You don't want to miss this party! The event takes place Saturday, August 24 from 11:30am-3:30pm, at the Albany Ramada Plaza Hotel.
